Dr. Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, a well-known name in the field of Homoeopathic Education all over the country having very good repute in the field of quality education and training including research activities. This is the first Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College of the country established on 1^st July 1969 and Prior to functioning of college, foundation stone of attached hospital was laid down by the then Health Minister of Odisha, Sj. N. Ramashesaya on 3^rd February 1968. This 24 bedded hospital was inaugurated by Sj. Rajendra Narayan Singhdeo, the then Chief Minister, Odisha in presence of Sj. Pabitra Mohan Pradhan, the then Deputy Chief Minister, Odisha, Sj. N. Ramashesaya, the then Health Minister, Sj. D.P. Tripathy, the then Health Secretary and Sj. Amar Singh, Advisor, Homoeopathy and Secretary, Odisha State Board of Homoeopathic Medicine. Being the first Govt. College of the country, it has imparted degree course in 1977 and second college all over the country to introduce PG course in 1996-97. This college was declared as 1^st State Model College of the country by the Govt. of India. This college has the glory to get accreditation of Govt. of India as a research institute. This institution has also bagged the repute of organising highest numbers of CME and ROTP all over the country.

Presently the intake capacity of this college is 50 in UG and only 03 in PG. This institution is organising various Training Programmes like Skill Development training for AYUSH Doctors (Homoeopathy), Induction Training for HMOs, IDSP training for AMO/HMO, Induction Training for AYUSH Asst (Homoeopathy), Induction Training for CHOs, Yoga Training for Yoga Instructor (Female) etc with the financial assistance of NHM, NAM etc. Attached Hospital is having 50 beds in IPD, 17 numbers of OPDs, One Physiotherapy unit, one Yoga unit etc along with various modern investigation facilities like TMT, PFT etc. The hospital OPD is functioning throughout the year including all govt Holidays. The OPD time is 08.00AM to 2.00 PM.

This institution also have a well maintained herbal Garden with tree, herb and shrub varieties of various medicinal plants covering an area of more than 2 acres.

In the field of manufacturing and standardisation, a Mini Pharmacy Unit is functioning here since 1992 which is functioning in its own building since 28.1.2019.The Mini Pharmacy has got license from Drugs controller  of Odisha Bhubaneswar for manufacture of mother tinctures and dilutions. The manufactured medicines are supplied to 560 numbers of Govt Homoeopathic dispensaries & four numbers of Govt. homoeopathic medical college hospitals of the state. This unit has its own in-house testing laboratory.  About four numbers of technical officers & 15 numbers of workers are engaged for manufacture of medicines. The Build-up area of the mini Pharmacy is about 877 square meters. The pharmacy is situated at the heart of the city, about 1 km from the railway station and 4.3  km from the air port.
