Directorate of AYUSH, Odisha was created in June 1968 with a view to providing Health Care, Education and Research in Ayurveda & Homoeopathy system. The Directorate Continued to lay emphasis on improving health care facilities, upgrading AYUSH educational standards and awareness generation on AYUSH.

The AYUSH systems are time tested methods to tackle life style disorders which are becoming a major threat to health in present era. These system can give a holistic approach to health system there by boosting the whole health system and contribute to the society.
